Landscape curbing separates your lawn from from other landscaped areas and provides a strong decorative divider. Curbing can also be used for erosion control, fence borders, property line boundaries, pretty much anywhere you want a clean, custom look.
Is Curbing Expensive?
Compared to the short and long term cost of other borders like brick, block, wood planks, or plastic which can either deteriorate, or be cost prohibitive, our concrete curbing is a very cost-effective alternative to achieve that custom landscaped look for your home or business.
Why choose A Sharper Image?
A Sharper Image is committed to your satisfaction. We work closely with you to ensure you are happy with the design process. A Sharper Image has laid thousands of feet of curbing with virtually no customer complaints. Give us a call and let us show you the Sharper Image difference.
Will you leave a mess behind?
Absolutely not; The concrete is mixed on our trailer, it is then carefully shoveled into the curbing machine. The machine is then run along the predetermined route plan and then finished off. All plants remain unaffected, any mess is cleaned up, and your satisfaction is guaranteed. We do our best to only leave a beautiful finished curb behind.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for your arrival?
We will need access to a water source (hose hook-up) and an electrical outlet. Also please clearly mark any sprinkler heads or cable wires. ASIC will not be responsible for damage done to any unmarked sprinkler heads or wires (unless discussed prior).
How long does it take?
It depends on how much we are installing, but most jobs are completed in one day. If we ever run into a delay we will always communicate with you ahead of time.
What if I have outdoor pets?
We request that you either leave your pet inside during installation until the concrete hardens (24-48 hours for small/medium pets) or let a friend or family member look after them. It is extremely important that the concrete remain untouched during the initial stage of the curing process.
What about ground movement?
The benefit of our concrete curbing is that it is a continuous piece of concrete. Individual blocks or bricks will shift over time. Our curb is fiber mesh reinforced which is designed to take the place of re bar or steel and adds strength to the curb. We place control/expansion joints every 3-4 feet. This is designed to control the cracking of the curb during shifting periods.
What forms of payments do you accept?
We accept all forms of payment. Payment is expected upon completion of the job unless otherwise discussed or arranged in advance
